Difference between Fly Ash Bricks and Clay Bricks

Construction has always seen clay bricks being the primarily used types of bricks for a long time. However, fly ash bricks have been gaining importance and usage in recent times propelling the debate about which is better. Manufacturers of CLC Brick Making Machines still enjoy high demand for the bricks in the market but with fly ask gaining prominence, here are few points of comparisons of both the types. Fly ash bricks are made from moulds so they are uniform but the same cannot be said for clay bricks.
Suppliers of Fly Ash Brick Making Machines enjoy the advantage of fly ash being recycled from coal combustion to create bricks. Clay, on the other hand is collected from fertile land, loosening top soil and causing erosion. Another difference is the porous properties of the two. Clay bricks are a lot more porous when compared to fly ash bricks. Plaster is also not required for fly ash because it has a smooth finish unlike clay bricks.

Suppliers of CLC Brick Machines also talk about the colour. If you are not a fan of the dull grey cement colour, clash bricks offer a burnt red colour. However, Fly Ash Brick Machines are definitely seeing a rise in demand due to its many advantages over clay bricks. Fly ask bricks are lighter than clay bricks as well which is why the market is slowly shifting to fly ash.
